Trauma & PTSD Support

We offer gentle, trauma-informed therapy for individuals affected by distressing or overwhelming experiences — whether recent or long past. You do not need a diagnosis to begin.

Our approach is calm, non-judgemental, and entirely at your pace. Safety is always our starting point. We work to help you feel grounded, connected, and supported as you move through the healing process.

Each session lasts up to 50 minutes, giving you space to explore and process without pressure. You’ll work with one of our highly qualified psychotherapists, experienced in supporting people through trauma of all kinds — from single incidents to complex, long-term experiences.

Our trauma therapy draws on a range of proven approaches, including:

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) – to help reprocess traumatic memories and reduce distress.

  • Grounding and Stabilisation Techniques – to manage triggers and restore a sense of safety.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – to challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours linked to trauma.

  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) – to reduce shame and self-criticism, fostering self-kindness.

  • Mindfulness-Based Approaches – to strengthen presence and regulate emotions.

  • Person-Centred Therapy – providing steady support for recovery in a non-directive way.

We offer in-person sessions at our peaceful Liverpool city centre rooms and secure online sessions for clients across the UK, so support is accessible wherever you are.

At pause…, trauma therapy is not about rushing or reliving painful memories — it is about finding safety, strength, and resilience in your own time.
