Women's Mental Health
We offer specialist mental health support for women and people assigned female at birth, with care that recognises the unique challenges of hormonal health, fertility, perinatal experiences, trauma, and menopause. Our approach is always trauma-informed, led by clinicians who understand not only the psychological but also the emotional impact of physiological change.
Each session lasts up to 50 minutes, giving you space to talk openly, reflect, and process your experiences without judgement or rush. Our highly qualified and experienced psychotherapists work collaboratively with you, tailoring therapy to your needs and stage of life.
Our women’s mental health service draws on a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including:
Perinatal and Postnatal Therapy – supporting you through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.
Trauma Therapy & EMDR – for processing and releasing distress related to past or current trauma.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – to manage anxiety, depression, and intrusive thoughts.
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) – to help reduce self-criticism and build resilience.
Mindfulness-Based Approaches – to strengthen calm and balance during times of change.
Humanistic and Person-Centred Therapy – to provide a supportive, reflective space for growth.
We offer in-person sessions at our peaceful Liverpool city centre rooms, as well as secure online therapy for women across the UK.
At pause…, our women’s mental health support is about more than symptom management — it’s about creating a safe, understanding space where your story is heard, your needs are met, and your wellbeing comes first.
